About/Contact the Destin Charter Boat Association

The Destin Charter Boat Association is made up of the Destin Charter Boat Captains and their families that represent the fishing heritage and tradition that helped found Destin and supported the Destin families throughout the years.

Many of the Captains and mates in Destin are 2nd and 3rd generation fishermen and are a part of the fabric that makes up the fishing community.

Our History

The DCBA was founded in 1954 by local charter captains that had decided to work together to promote their "fishing village" and their businesses. Over the years the DCBA has contributed greatly to the Destin Fishing Rodeo, the Destin Fishing and History Museum, the Miss Destin Pageant, the Fishermen's for Christ Foundation, the Destin Little League and of host of community and charity events.

Meeting Dates

1st Thursday of the month Destin Community Center.

Fishing Management Input

The DCBA weighs in on fishery management on the state and federal level and is extremely involved with management decisions that affect our recreational anglers. The DCBA actively supports artificial reef construction and coastal planning issues within Destin and Okaloosa county.

Supporting our Local Community

The DCBA proudly supports the Annual Destin Seafood Festival every year on the Destin Harbor Boardwalk. The Seafood Festival was started by the wives families and of the Destin Charter Boat Assoc Women's Aux and is attended by over 60,000 people per year.

Supporting our community, our local resorts, our local restaurants, our local hotels and businesses to provide the best possible experience for our community and visitors. Please come and join us down on the Harbor and the Harbor Boardwalk.
